Tudor Maydes

Do you want something very different
to entertain and inform your group?

Dressed as Tudor women, we bring some of our everyday wares, and show you what life was really like for ordinary folk back in those far-off days
– homes and families, food and drink,
remedies and superstitions, crafts and clothing
– the good, the bad and the ugly!

We also sing the popular songs of the day
– and be warned, we may get you singing as well!

From the moment we walk through the door to the moment we leave,
we speak, dress and act
as 16th century women!

So don’t offer us a cup of tea or talk about your mobile phones,
we won’t know what you are talking about!

The Why’s and Wherefores of Everyday Tudor Life
What went on from day to day – why, when, where, how and who with!
We bring  artefacts for you to see, touch and smell.  Making history fascinating and fun!

A Stitch in Time   Clothes and home crafts.
What we wear, what it is made of, and how it is made.
Find out the laws about Tudor clothing, and try some on!

Try your hand at some home crafts.
