GDPR 2018

The General Data Protection Regulation 2018

Since 25 May 2018, it has been a requirement of all businesses and organisations to comply with the law and obtain permission to keep personal and sensitive data.

Personal data broadly means a piece of information that can be used to identify a person. In our case, this is a contact name, address, telephone number, and email.

Sensitive personal data includes details of religious beliefs, political opinions, racial information, sexual orientation, etc.  No sensitive data of this sort is ever required for our talks.

From Time to Time keeps the group contact name, address, email and telephone number, for reference up to the date of the talk, after which they are removed from our records.  We keep the name of the group with public contact details for reference should they contact us again for a future talk.

No details are ever passed to a third party.

Forms are sent to every booking, requesting permission to keep the data as detailed above.
